With our Without – Prescription Drug Plan?

Enrollment window to open soon

 

Don’t get caught without prescription drug coverage.  And don’t get caught with a plan that no longer meets your needs for 2008

 

Most seniors are only given a six-week window to decide on which prescription drug pan will meet their medication requirements for an entire year.  The Medicare Part D enrollment window opens on November 15th and will close on December 31st 2007.  Feel safe and secure when the window closes because you took care of it, you checked your plan and found the right one fr you before December 31st.

 

It is only during this open enrollment period at most seniors are permitted to enroll in a Part D plan, drop Part D coverage, or switch to a different plan.

 

The first step is to check our current plan to se if it matches current medications that you’re taking.  Help is available if you are not sure your plan is okay for your 2008 needs.  You are simply one phone call and a few keyboard clicks away from finding the right answer.  Medicare counselors wil guide you through the process and get you enrolled on the spot.

 

Medicare can seem complicated.  Here are three ways to get help:

  1. Call a Medicare counselor at 702-486-3478 or NV SHIP at 1-800-307- 4444.

  2. Attend in person  Two enrolment events will be held in Las Vegas

      Date:                Tuesday, December 4, 2007

      Time:                10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

      Place:               East Las Vegas Senior Ctr.

                              250 N. Eastern Avenue

                              (SE corner of Eastern & Stewart)

 

      Date:                Friday, December 28, 2007

      Time:                10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

      Place:               Cambridge Senor Center

                              3930 Cambridge Street

                              (S f Twain, E of Swenson, W of Maryland, and N of Flamingo Rd)

3.   Go to www.medicare.gov and follow the steps to self-enrollment.

 

There ill be a staff of Medicare Counselors operating bank of computers o facilitate your enrollment.  Bring a list of your prescriptions with the amount you take at the time (mg) and the amount you take daily, your Medicare card, and your current plan information.  You will leave confident that you have chosen options best suited to match your personal needs.
